Alex is great playing vampire Eric! But in True Blood Season 2 they’ve been giving him a lot of corny lines. Like telling his assistant Pam “Those WERE great pumps” when she got her shoes dirty. Because you just knew they were going to make him say something stupid like that. The audience shouldn’t know what will be said next, it should be unpredictable. That line made me cringe because it was just to tacky and predictable – like what a 12 year old would have written.

True Blood Season One was very intelligently written and the dialogue was unpredictable, as it should be. Unfortunately I think they’ve changed the writer(s) which wasn’t a good idea.

Hopefully they bring on good writers so that the show can continue being successful!

I disagree with you. I think that line was great, funny and unexpected. Eric is like that, a bit goofy and a bit dangereus. Second season is better than first one. I love it.
