Dear Johnny Dare Morning Show,
The last couple of years have been a real struggle forus, and this Christmas is no different. In September, my hours were cut back at work so that we wouldn’t have layoffs. I work in the kitchen at a mental health facility. The cutback in hours has really put me behind. This week I was told we will get our hours back in January, but that money will have to go to past due bills. I’m behind on gas, electric, and rent. And I just paid my car insurance ($412). It had to be paid, but I just don’t know where the rest is going to come from. My kids are the greatest. They know the bills come first, but it breaks my heart to face them Christmas morning and have no presents at all.
Johnny, I just don’t know where to go. I’ve been at my job 9 years. Needless to say we hardly get by any other time of the year, but it’s even harder right now. If I can just make it to January and get back to full time.
