Dear Johnny Dare morning show,
I know there are other families more in need of help out there, but I could really use some also. I’m a single mother with an 18 year old daughter that’s in the Kauffman Scholar program to be able to go to college paid by Kauffman & she graduates this year, so it’s the last year I have with her at home. I have a 19 year old son that is trying to get on his feet & help me out, but he just started a job & it’s going to take a few weeks to start getting much money to help. We only have 1 vehicle & it’s falling apart. I hope to get a new car come tax time so I’m trying to keep this running till then. All I have is rent & utilities, no credit, & I still can’t seem to get ahead. My brother just passed away the day before Thanksgiving, so that’s really added to the stress. I’m a delivery driver & a self-employed one, so my vehicle is my money maker & being self-employed I don’t get any vacation or any benefits so this time of year is difficult with the holidays. Seems like just when things are going bad, they get worse. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, & happy holidays!
